Uninstall and reinstall ACDSee Photo Editor 4

How do I completely uninstall ACDSee Photo Editor 4 and then reinstall it?

For Windows XP:
  1. From Control panel | Add or Remove Programs, uninstall ACDsee PE4
  2. Delete "40" folder in user profile's folder with the steps below
    • Go to the Start Menu and select Run
    • Type in %appdata% and Click OK
    • Double-click ACD Systems (folder)
    • Double-click ACDSeePhotoEditor (folder)
    • Delete 40 (folder)

  3. Delete "C:\Program Files\ACD Systems\ACDSeePhotoEditor\4.0" folder if that folder still exists
  4. Reinstall the program with your license code, or trial license code


For Windows Vista:
  1. From Control Panel |Programs and Features, uninstall ACDsee PE4
  2. Delete "40" folder in user profile's folder with the steps below
    • Go to the Start button, in the "Start Search" field, type Run
    • Type in %appdata% and Click OK
    • Double-click ACD Systems (folder)
    • Double-click ACDSeePhotoEditor (folder)
    • Delete 40 (folder)

  3. Delete "C:\Program Files\ACD Systems\ACDSeePhotoEditor\4.0" folder if that folder still exists
  4. Reinstall the program with your license code, or trial license code
